Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, is Hotel Monte Vista, is one of the most one of Arizona’s most haunted places. I have had the opportunity to stay at this location twice.

My first night at the location was more of a blur than a memory. My dad and I took a train adventure and traveled from Kansas City to Flagstaff, Arizona, by Amtrak train. It was our first experience riding a train for more than two hours. We’d been on the train for a little more than 20 hours, and by the time we got off, I felt like I’d been tossed around on a boat. After checking into the hotel, laying in bed and going to sleep was the only thing that sounded interesting to me.

I had the sensation that the room and bed were swaying back and forth to the point where I would fall asleep.

My second stay was during the same trip. Our train was to depart Flagstaff around five o’clock in the morning. We decided to stay another night at the hotel because of its proximity to the station. We were able to explore the grand hotel and all of its charm and beauty during our second stay. The second opportunity did not disappoint us. For being nearly 100 years old, the hotel has been well cared for and maintained.

Unfortunately, we didn’t experience anything paranormal. However, during our first night, I don’t think anything could have woken me.
