Casey, Illinois is a really cool town with lots of awesome Big Things to see. Right now, they have an incredible 12 World’s Largest items and other Big Things! When my wife and I were coming back from Chicago, we made a special stop in Casey. We had a blast looking at and exploring their extra-large roadside marvels. I really think you should visit and check out all the amazing giant things they have. And don’t forget to explore their amazing historic downtown area too. It’s totally worth it!

The World’s Largest Rocking Chair is an impressive 56 feet long and weighs an astonishing 46,200 pounds. This massive project took two years to complete. To earn the title of World’s Largest, the Rocking Chair had to actually rock, which required the strength of ten grown men. The chair’s headrest and armrests feature detailed carvings and beautiful staining, with a dove of peace on the center of the headrest and olive branches on the armrests. It was on October 20, 2015, that the Rocking Chair proudly claimed its title. Out of all the World Record attempts for the town of Casey, this is said to have been the most challenging one.
