In just over 180 days, my family and I will be setting sail on our second Alaska cruise, and we couldn’t be more excited! Since we’ve been to Alaska before, this trip will be a whole new experience with different ports, a smaller ship, and two little kids along for the adventure.
The first time we went on an Alaska cruise, my youngest son, Benson, was only 9 months old and couldn’t even walk. Now, at almost 4 years old, he’ll actually be able to run around, explore, and enjoy the trip. In addition, since that first cruise, we’ve also welcomed our daughter, Molina, who will be just over 1 year old when we sail. As a result, traveling with two little ones will definitely make this trip different from the last!
One of the biggest changes this time is our cruise route. Instead of taking a round-trip Alaska cruise, we will start in Vancouver, British Columbia, and end in Seward, Alaska. Because of this, we’ll get to explore new places and enjoy exciting new adventures!
Lately, in preparation for our trip, we’ve been watching tons of videos about these new destinations and making a list of things we want to see and do!
Even though we’ve been on an Alaska cruise before, this second trip will feel completely different. The kids are older, we’ll be visiting new places, and this time, we know a little more about what to expect.
I can’t wait to share what we learn from this second Alaska cruise—especially what’s worth repeating, what’s even better the second time around, and what exciting new surprises we’ll discover!
So, stay tuned for updates as we get closer to setting sail on our next big adventure!
